In the bleak mid-winter...

December is always the busiest time for me. I'm social, it's a thing.

Anyway, I'm conscious I've been neglectful of late, and it's been bloody ages since I posted any photos here, so I thought I'd post the evidence of a little wander I took the other day.

Have I ever mentioned that I love mushrooms? I do!

I am not a fan of cold weather, but I do love how winter looks. Even bleak, bare trees can look beautiful.

  1. I'm jealous of your green winter! My winter is currently under 6 inches of snow and bitter wind chills. I observe it through the slit between my hat and scarf :)

  2. It's funny, because the weather has suddenly turned - the first real frost was this morning, and they're predicting snow this week (although I think it will just be a dusting). The camera geek inside me is just excited about getting to take photos - I didn't have my posh camera this time last year. We get very little snow in the UK anyway, so even a tiny bit is a novelty. It might be a white christmas this year!!

I was out last night, and it was soooo cold - and I forgot my hat. My chest was hurting, I was shivering too much. THAT kind of winter, I don't love.
