Out, damned spot.

Last time I went away for a long weekend, I unwittingly packed four polka dot dresses. Whilst wearing a fifth polka dot dress. Over a pair of polka dot pyjama bottoms. And then I got under my polka dot duvet cover and went to sleep. I only noticed all this because I was watching an episode of New Girl in which Zooey Deschanel's characters was concerned that someone had said to her 'You rock a lot of polka dots' in a derogatory fashion.

I AM NOT EVEN JOKING.

I mean, I like polka dots, okay? They're nice! I wouldn't have said I was OBSESSED with them. Except, um. Apparently I am. So then I decided to have a little look back through my Friday Frocks, and, er. Yeah. If I were polka dots, I'd probably take out a restraining order against me.

    1. Haha, me too! I don't even realise I'm doing it but I'm obsessed! I love that red one too, it's so easy to wear.

And Minnie Mouse is my style icon.

  3. Oh I'd say that is more than passable.
I have a similar affliction. I'm currently wearing polka dot underwear, polka dot pjs, wrapped in a polka dot blanket, sat on a polka dot cushion.

Which is your favourite polka dot dress?

    1. Haha, you are the queen of polka dots! I am currently wearing no polka dots, although my polka dot duvet awaits me.

Favourite? Can I choose 3? 7 - it was my birthday dress, and I always feel nice in it. 9 - I wear it CONSTANTLY, it doesn't need ironing and basically works for all occasions. 11 - it's just so damn PRETTY. And I so rarely wear pink!

      Hooray for the dots.

  7. Hahaha. This is the second Polka Dots Anonymous post I've read this week! We should start a support group. I can't get enough of them. Dresses, tops, jumpers, shoes, socks, underwear...if it comes in polka dots, I have it. I gravitate towards them in shops. I. LOVE. DOTS.
One of the girls I work with owns a couple of lovely dotty dresses but she won't wear them into the office as she knows I'll probably be in spots too and we'll look all purposely coordinated. At a work do, we both turned up in black and white polka dot dresses. And my boss had a polka dot shirt on. Good times.

    1. Luckily I am known as the polka dot one at work (although my boss also owns the pink one above), but my best friend adores polka dots so we have to be careful not to coordinate too much. I actually have a dress on the way identical to one she already owns, but a different colour. You can't resist the dots! Sounds like your office should inflict a polka dot uniform. It'd be awesome.

  10. Haha I love this! I am more of a stripe-rocker myself, I own a silly amount of breton-y type tops. For shame.

  12. So jealous of your polka dot dress collection! I'm obsessed with polka dots, so much so that I have a red and white polka dot sofa AND a dress to match it. x

  13. I'm a firm believer in buying a million of something if it works, and polka dots definitely work well for you! See thats a much nicer way of saying you rock the polka dot. But you do. I think my favourite is the red and white one

    1. Yes, this is both my belief and the reason why I am poor. That's one of my favourites too, I wear it CONSTANTLY. It's a great fit and it's stretchy (so it's always a great fit) and doesn't need ironing and is not too short. Looove.

  15. Completely normal. But then I'm a fellow polka dot addict. In fact, looking at my latest blog post, 2 out of 3 of my latest purchases have dots. Polka dots are awesome. Embrace the love, lol :) xx

  20. Dots should stop being so damn fantastic. BUT THEY CAN'T, BECAUSE THEY ARE. I think you should get more polka dot dresses.

  21. Ahhhh I have yet to count all of my polka dotted stuff but it is definitely in double figures. I tend to have more separates than dresses though, think I need to rectify this! You've got some nice styles there, the burgundy one is perfection!

  22. Oh this post made me chuckle so much - I have polka dots coming out of every corner of my wardrobe too! Mostly skirts and blouses, but there are quite a few dresses in there too. Number 10 (burgandy) is my favourite of yours, a classic colour and it looks amazing on you!

  23. Polka dots are flippin fabulous! On that note, I really should start watching 'The New Girl', I'm a big fan of Zooey Deschanel and it sounds funny from everything I've heard about it. I wish I had a collection of polka dotted dresses, I think I have maybe three polka dot things in my wardrobe. I'm still loving that hot pink polka dotted dress btw.

  25. Nothing wrong with a few polka dots! Alright...a LOT of polka dots. I keep getting it from the bf - don't you already have a navy blue vintage style knee length dress with white polka dots? DUH, this is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT navy blue vintage style knee length dress with white polka dots. Stoopid.

  26. Definitely nothing wrong with that, especially as they're so pretty!
