People say that your dreams are the only things that save you.

I identify a lot with Becky from Confessions Of A Shopaholic. In several ways – although I’d like to think I’m not as unbearable and irresponsible and her – but the main is how she ultimately becomes a personal shopper, realising she loves to shop for other people almost as much as herself. I am totally the same. The other day I went shopping with my mum (who is NOT a shopper) and got so carried away choosing outfits for her that I came out with nothing, but she had four bulging carrier bags and was nearly £200 lighter. It was so much fun! The rush of shopping with none of the repercussions! I had the BEST time.

I often window shop for my friends and family, actually. Amy and I were saying how we constantly choose things we think the other would like (nothing makes me happier than a ‘I saw this and thought of you’ tweet) and it seems to get worse with time. My sister welcomes it – she’s a busy lady, after all, with two kids and another on the way – and I find myself looking at maternity clothes (and maternity-friendly clothes) for her. So… maxi dresses! I can’t wear them, sadly, they don’t suit my shape and make me look short and pregnant. But if I WAS pregnant, I’d be all over that. But as I’m not, well, pregnant sister. That’ll do nicely! So here you go, Becky (Vernon, not Bloomwood). The best maxi dresses out there right now from Next. So pretty!
