I will wait, I will wait for you.

When they write my biography (and they will), I'm pretty sure they'll declare 2012 the year of the wedding. So many weddings!

Well. Um. Four.

The last wedding of the year was extra special because it also included a Bloggers Assemble element. MASH Assembled, to be more specific (Mia-Amy-Sarah-Hayley). My lovely friend Sarah Mia  got married in September to Tzevai, and so Amy, Hayley and I all headed to Falmouth to put on pretty dresses and join the celebrations.

I do like to be involved at a wedding, if I can. I've been to precisely one hen do where I didn't do any of the organising, and it was WEIRD, you guys. I mean, it was fun! But WEIRD, because I am organisey at heart. So, when I saw Amy on Twitter acting a bit terrified when Sarah asked her to curl her hair pre-wedding, I volunteered. I did Jo's hair at her wedding, after all, and I was looking forward to the chance to try out my new Enrapture Encode Totem hair curlers... although it was a case of 'Be careful what you wish for', as when I arrived at Sarah's, I was greeted by four worried bridesmaids desperate for some hair help. So I ended up doing not only the bride's hair, but also all the bridesmaids. I didn't mind - plus they all looked beautiful, especially Sarah - but it's pretty hard to make her shiny red mane look bad (this is my hair-jealousy face, FYI).

Dress c/o French Connection | Bag & Shoes c/o Matalan | Earrings & Fascinator - Accessorize | Flower clips - Crown & Glory | Bracelet - Swarovski | Ring - Topshop

After throwing some curls in my own hair... WEDDING! I wore a gorgeous (if slightly racy) French Connection dress, which they kindly sent me. Are you familiar with the expression church-boob? I think Sha may have invented it, but it's pretty self explanatory, right? The level of boob that it is acceptable to show in church? This dress... is not church-boob. But thankfully the wedding was not at a church! It was at the National Maritime Museum, and they don't seem to care how much boob you are showing. I'm pretty sure that's the most times I've said boob on this blog. BOOBS.

I was a little concerned about wearing navy as the bridesmaids were also wearing navy (and no one wants to be THAT girl) so I made sure to go against their yellow accent colours with cranberry accessories instead - mostly left over from my Matalan guest post a few weeks ago. It's the first time I've actually gone out with a clutch bag though, and MAN they are annoying. Everyone knows you should keep both your hands free for wine! It's lovely, though. I'd been planning on wearing these pretty Crown & Glory clips too, but then found this old Accessorize fascinator which went perfectly, so I figured 'screw it!' and combined the lot together. I think it works? Yeah?

It was a LOVELY wedding. Sarah and Tzevai had worked really hard on the details, with cute little book centrepieces, detailed place settings (including scratchcards in red envelopes as a nod to the Chinese custom), a scrapbook/guestbook, and even a homemade photobooth (which Amy ended up manning most of the night). Oh, and a panda as the ring-bearer, obviously. There was tons of dancing, too, which made me very happy. Oh, and wine. Lots of wine. I blame that Amy, you know. She's a terrible influence.
