Violet hill.

"What's your favourite colour?" they would say at school, and the girls would all say pink, the boys would all say blue. Because I read a lot of books and was already romanticising the idea of being different and quirky, I would say "Yellow!" and then spout something about it being the colour of sunshine. In hindsight, I was an annoying little thing.

To be honest though, yellow wasn't really my favourite colour. It probably WAS pink. But that just wasn't different enough. These days, I'd probably declare it to be red, but lately I've been having a serious purple moment.

It started with a coat. This coat, which would probably be mine if I hadn't bought the Topshop one. And, hey, if it pops up in the sale... well. It would be rude not to.

Coat - Principles at Debenhams

Then the bag. The bag which I keep going back to on eBay. If you're wondering what to get me for Christmas, um... HINT.

Then the nails. LOOK at this. Pure Cadbury's purple. Ohhh.

Purple With A Purpose - OPI

I kind of don't have to explain the dress, I guess. I mean, it's pretty much perfect.

Dress - ASOS

And the shoes. Purple Converse high top trainers would go with pretty much nothing... and EVERYTHING.

Converse - Spartoo

Yep, purple. I'm in. I'm all in.

  6. Purple has always been my favourite colour. In fact, when I was younger it was bordering on obsessive. I painted my room a deep Cadbury-purple. It was so intense. But I loved it.

  8. Purple is my favourite colour but I hardly ever wear it :( I just can't find much purple clothing that I actually like, most of it tends to be a bit gothy!
