FASHION: My minimoon shopping list

Clothes and shoes wishlist for a May minimoon in Italy

I am, obviously, very much looking forward to my wedding. But what I'm almost looking forward to more is the holiday we're going on right afterwards. We're going to Rome for two days and then Napoli for the rest of the week, and I am incredibly excited to eat all the pizza and gelato and be in wonderful Italy.

I'm having to sort out my minimoon planning alongside wedding planning, which has meant ordering sundresses along with potential flat wedding shoes and adding 'buy Euros' to my wedding to do list so we don't forget! I still have a few bits left to buy, though, so here are a few items from my minimoon shopping list...

A new suitcase
I am desperately in need of a new suitcase as I have a teeny one and a giant cumbersome holdall one. I’m thinking of hitting up Spartoo for this jazzy blue number. Would you believe I’ve never had a four-wheeler?

Sundresses forever
ASOS is coming up trumps right now. I got a really cute fruit-print dress in the post-Christmas sales for an amazing £7.50, and I’m also loving this spotty number. It’s light and stretchy and perfect for a holiday.

Comfy sandals
I’ve just ordered a pair of Saltwater Sandals, as everyone says they’re the best ones. Apparently if they rub, you should get them wet and they’ll mould to your feet – let’s see how my super wide feet fare, eh?

A hat
I may not be a natural ginger but no one told my skin. So a big hat has to be included. I quite like this kind, although a slightly smaller one is tempting too so no one bops it off I’m squeezing through the crowds of tourists! Sadly this is for smaller heads than mine...

Classic wedges
I debated whether or not to buy these over on Instagram Stories the other day, as they were on the pricey side but also really nice. In the end I decided to keep them – they’re exactly what I wanted, they’ll last for years (I bloody hope) and instead of spending £20+ on a pair of flats for the evening at my wedding, I spent £6. So it’s totally justifiable, right?

And then once my minimoon is over, it’ll be time to start planning for the MEGAMOON. And that’s going to need a much bigger suitcase…
