Same old shape with the brand new sound.

Oh my gosh, you guys, it is my birthday next week! I’m so excited. I am a complete child about my birthday – I go on about it for around six months leading up to the event, and then when it arrives I’m so enthusiastic I normally plan around four separate dos to celebrate it.

I’m also a firm believer in the concept of Birthday Week, and as I have a weekend of fun stuff coming up, I’ve decided that my birthday is actually starting this weekend, and running all the way through to next weekend. Well. Basically until someone sits me down and says to me, ‘Sarah. Your birthday was in July. It is now Christmas. You need to let it go.’ (NEVER!)

Anyway, I’m planning a bit of a special feature next week to celebrate Birthday Week – more on that soon, but trust me, you’ll like it – but in the meantime, I thought I’d share the things that I’m hoping to find in my Birthday Stocking next week (I don’t actually have a stocking. I totally SHOULD, though…)

I’ve wanted one of these for ages but they are so expensive to buy new! I keep watching them on eBay though. They’re like Polaroids, awesome huh?

I have yet to make a successful macaron, but this book is so beautiful, it doesn’t matter all that much. You can just look at it.

My friend Russell is an amazing photographer, but he actually has the same camera as me, so I can’t use that
as an excuse. He was raving about the 35mm lens though, so it’s on my list. *sends helpful links to parents*

I have major girlcrushes on Caitlin Moran, Tina Fey and Grace Dent, so have high hopes for their books.

Mine are so close to dying, and ever since Emma featured her loose curls tutorial, I’ve wanted a cone wand.

Love the idea of an Alice In Wonderland-inspired crafty book.

Well. Obviously.

What are you coveting right now?

  15. Love that first dress - actually went to see it in my local DP, but sadly they don't have it. Boo! Oasis have some lovely frocks in just now.

Highly recommend the Cailin Moran book, but wasn't quite so sold on Grace Dent's. Maybe because I'm new to Twitter I just didn't get it.

  16. I love this post! I completely agree with the attitude towards birthdays....it should be at least for a week, and as many pressies and love and stuff as possible. I must say you've got excellent taste, I'd be happy to receive similar presents for my own birthday...but then as your birthday is about three weeks before mine, maybe the being Leos is what makes us like the limelight birthdays bring!
