Christmas Gift Ideas Week, Day 5: HANDMADE

What did we DO before the internet? There are so many amazing things to make popping up every day. It's probably my favourite thing about Pinterest - I just wish I had the time to do it all. Every Christmas, I mean to do more handmade gifts, and every Christmas, I don't manage very much. Or any. So, as much for me as for you, I've compiled a list of my favourite tutorials out there - maybe next year I'll handmake a bit more. I love the idea of giving out big hampers full of homemade goodies - doesn't that sound lush?

Slow Cooked Apple Butter"
This sounds AMAZING.

Brown Sugar and Vanilla Body Scrub
I'm sure if you follow me, you follow El. But she is brilliant, so why wouldn't you? She has a ton of tutorials on her blog, such as this scrub. I think this might be one of those things that would make people want to lick you. So... give it to someone you want to lick!

Fudgy Snow Balls
Ooooh, I would not be disappointed with a jar of these in my Christmas stocking.

Floral Wreath
I adore A Beautiful Mess - it's super glossy and pretty and they do some lovely tutorials. And, gosh, this looks so easy. I want to make a festive one for our front door now!

Homemade Canvas Print
You can make your own canvas print! I think you might need some patience for this one, but doesn't it look cool?

Etched Glasses
These glasses would be great for a personalised gift, or a wedding present!

Salted Caramel sauce
I've always been scared to make salted caramel sauce, but Hayley's tutorial shows how easy it is! It was super yummy, too. I ate that with a SPOON.

Marshmallow Vodka
Elizabeth's blog is one of my favourite handmade emporiums! I've had her flavoured vodka tutorials bookmarked forever. I'm especially desperate to try the marshmallow vodka - maybe I'll find the time to make a batch over Christmas! If not for a gift, then at least for me...

Chai Concentrate
My housemate is seriously obsessed with chai lattes, and although I harbour a suspicion of all things tea-ish, I can think of a few people who'd love to receive this homemade chai concentrate!

Onion Jam and Chilli Jam
More from Elizabeth - I adore preserves and these look so easy to make! I use sweet chilli sauce in EVERYTHING so am itching to make up a big old batch of chilli jam. Check out her Cinder toffee tutorial too. Yuuuum.

Snickerdoodles
One thing I am planning on is making batches upon batches of these amazing cinnamon cookies for gifts this year. Poundland do lovely Christmassy tins for only £1 each, too!

  1. I love this post! I've always thought it would be nice to give handmade gifts a go but I just don't have the time for anything complicated. The wreath is gorgeous!
