Everything looks perfect from far away, come down now, but we'll stay.
I'm determined to draw more this year. During the limbo period between Christmas and New Year I spent a few nights toiling away with my sketchbook, trying out different styles and scouring the internet for inspiration. There is so much incredible talent out there. But one artist struck me more than others - Laura Laine. Her drawings are just beautiful - so much movement and depth. The way she draws hair (my favourite thing to draw) has me in rhapsodies. She's done illustrations for H&M, Zara and Elle among others. See for yourself - STUNNING.
Ah wow! Her illustrations are beautiful! I have a book I want to send you, it's called Fashion Illustration Now, you don't have it do you? I think you'd really like it! xx
Kelly - I'm not sure, but I was looking at the bottles in Boots the other day and wondering the very same thing! I also used to suspect Grant Cowan did some designs for them, I love his style.
oh my god. they're just stunning... they make me melt. it's like a fashion-drawing orgasm. GAHH! <3 i love the one with the purse.. and the fifth one.. and all of them.
wow, these are actually incredible! I had to comment! I've never seen anything like them really. You can see that she's been influenced by Beardsly and the 1960's but they are so original!
Wow, her art is beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing! :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteHer work is stunning, it reminds me of Klimt! I adore the one with the handbag :)
ReplyDeleteThat is stunning! I think both your christmas card and these drawings have inspired me to draw more. Thankyou for that!
