I accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions, paid links or other forms of compensation but always retain full editorial control. I do not accept guest posts other than from other bloggers.
As of 29th September, 2013, all posts containing sponsored content will contain the symbol ~+~ at the end which links back to this post.
The reason for this is that many brands ask for sponsored posts to not contain any reference to being sponsored. Sometimes it's hard to turn down the possibility of payment, but I don't feel comfortable not disclosing it. Using the pink symbol still signals these posts as containing sponsored content, but keeps the brand happy and my conscience at bay.
It may seem less upfront than an 'in collaboration with' or 'sponsored post' tagline, but it's actually more honest, because it's on ALL posts that contain sponsored content, not just the ones who allow them to be tagged. Many bloggers would simply leave these posts undisclosed, FYI.
Products – The vast majority of clothes, accessories and homeware I feature on this blog were purchased or made by me. Sometimes, though, brands do send me items for free. I normally review or feature most items sent to me, but if it’s totally irrelevant or if I don’t like it, then I won’t. I would never positively review an item that I didn’t feel positively about, but I do often adopt the strategy of ‘If you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.’ My opinions are entirely my own, and always honest. If I’m featuring an item I got for free I will either explicitly mention it in the body of the post, or, in an outfit post, mark it with c/o before the brand name. Getting free stuff is very very nice, but it is not why I blog, and if it all dried up tomorrow, it wouldn’t stop me babbling on.

Advertising
– I sometimes have a small amount of adverts in my sidebar which are are either organised directly or through
affiliate schemes. The majority of money raised from advertising is
pushed back into blog promotion – domain costs, travel costs, etc.
Sponsored
Posts – I refuse to accept guest posts from brands (the occasional
blogger buddy is different) but do sometimes feature sponsored posts,
and I do get paid for these. I either mark sponsored posts as ‘In
collaboration with…’ or with ~+~ (more on that below). I would never feature a sponsored post that I
didn’t write myself, nor would I ever write about a brand I don’t
believe in. I try not to feature sponsored posts too often, as I prefer
to drive my own content, but occasionally a few will go up in quick
succession. I still do my best to keep them fun and within the spirit of
my blog – and hey, a girl’s gotta eat.Additionally, I work in collaboration with Spartoo, for which I receive payment in vouchers.
