Friday Frocks #150 - You must be loving your life in the rain.

At the end of our lane is a huge meadow. I think it’s a meadow, anyway – I’m not really sure what defines a meadow? It’s basically a big sprawling expanse of green stuff. Slightly hilly, slightly wooded and on the day I went up there, more than slightly muddy. Last time I went there was summer, and that beautiful lake wasn’t actually there. We get the POINT now, rain.

I’ve only walked all the way around it once and there’s so much more to see and explore, I’ll definitely be going up there again. I can’t help but still feel a little subconscious to be out in public with my tripod, even though it’s usually completely deserted, but that’s a comfort zone thing that I need to push, I think. Or maybe take company, next time.

This cute dress was a hand-me-down from Sarah and it has quickly become a wardrobe staple. It’s great for these cold days as it’s corduroy, so nice and thick – and it looks lovely with my favourite berry tights and brown boots (which are kind of ruined now from all that mud – oops). I’m basically living in it right now, it seemed high time I featured it on the blog. Next time I go exploring though, I’ll wear my DMs – I’ve had them since August and have only worn them twice, I am totally failing at breaking them in. Hopefully an afternoon stamping about in the mud will sort them out.

Oooh, and the bag is new - it's my new work bag, but it's managing to be my weekend bag too because it's the perfect size. It's a little reminiscent of the Alexa, a bag which I loved but disliked how copied it got by the high street. This emulates the style but doesn't look like a copy, which is perfect for me.

What are your weekend plans? I think mine will involve wine. It sounds like an excellent plan, no?

Dress - Dahlia
