Friday Frocks #153 - We could have a few decent days and nights.

My more adventurous friends like Amy chastise me for always choosing the safe option when it comes to fashion. I went to a swap shop on Monday, and came away with two Peter Pan collared dresses, a gold sparkly number and a red cardigan - all things that I already have in my wardrobe, but hey - why mess with what works?

George at Asda asked me to choose a few bits to review, and I did try to be adventurous, I did. But in the end, it came down to what I knew I'd wear, and this neat LBD has already had three outings since it arrived so I call that a good choice. It comes with the bright red necklace too - not my usual taste, I'll be honest, but I'm loving the ensemble.

I also got this cute red jumper which is super cosy and the perfect length. I am loving the cropped jumper trend - they actually fit me like a normal human. Exciting. I am very short.

Now, about the boots. I got these boots because they looked comfortable and sort of clumpy and cool, but I felt like everyone I showed them to was like 'Oh! Nice!' in a way I didn't quite believe. And I was kind of defensive about my boots, but now I have seen them in a photograph I am actually thinking that maybe they are kind of hideous and cloggy. But they are comfortable.

Also! I am loving this Nica bag. The design on the leather is so pretty and intricate, and it's a great size for work - it's even big enough to jam my giant notebook into, which makes it a winner in my book. I declare this my new Bag for Meetings! There are some lovely bags on the Nica website - I love the Alicia satchel, because I love red. I think that's well established.

In other news, these tights are adorable. But I really only think they look good over a thick pair of black tights, so I hardly ever wear them, and that is a sad story.

  3. That bag is sooooo nice, I love the baroque pattern, so unique that it's embossed into the leather!!
It also looks great with the outfit, those tights are so cute.
