Here's my daytime look - I very much believe that lace can be workwear. Why not, eh? I made it a little more casual with a red cardi and matching belt, flat shoes and neutral makeup. I think in a lot of ways it's easier to make a smart dress look casual than vice versa, so if you're trying to dash from work to a party, that's my recommendation.
So, imagining that I was going to dive onto a train with only a small bag for company, I styled myself up thusly. A messy side bun is a super easy way to glamorize yourself, and it doesn't matter if you haven't had time to straighten your hair. No ghds required! It's basically a side ponytail and a bunch of grips. Easy peasy.
I just upped the eyeliner and added some red lippy, then threw on a couple of statement accessories and a pair of heels. Done! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a party to go to...*
