It says a lot about the type of person I am and the type of person I would grow up to be that when I was very small, I used to read the Argos catalogue and desperately wish that I could wave a magic wand and make all the toys REAL. Not real as in Toy Story, talking to me, you understand (although I did totally believe that) but real as in ‘I want this Barbie. Now I have this Barbie!’
With an attitude like that, it’s no wonder that the recent ASOS competition, in which you were given the chance to win a basket full of £1000 worth of products of your choice, was basically a dream come true. I didn’t win. But I did find it alarmingly easy to find £1000 worth of things from ASOS that I want. A lot. Here’s my list... what was yours?

Huh, clever people. I used to have the same dream of making thing in catalogues real. These days I do the same thing with Indian takeaway menus. *Lamb bhuna... appear!*
ReplyDeleteThe black and tan bags are divine. I wish I had the power to make things in catalogues real...think of the money it'd save! x
ReplyDeleteOh what a wish list! Don't fret too much about the River Island Paris print dress though - I bought it and the fit is weird in the extreme. I tracked down the skirt version in the sale - fingers crossed that that's more flattering on me.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much want all of those bags, and that first black coat! Possibly the worst post to read while on a month long spending ban :p Also, I was that girl too! I had many an Argos wishlist, conveniently left by my Mum's handbag each week! Some things just never change...! xx
ReplyDeleteThese things are so pretty! I especially love the dresses, damn you for tempting me!! *shakes fist* It is SUCH a clever marketing ploy though...
ReplyDeleteMaria xxx
So many pretty thing! I want those last 2 dresses, the red skirt & the heart print skirt too *sigh*.
ReplyDeletePhew - I'm glad my sister and I weren't the only Argos-mad girls in town! Oh, ASOS are scoundrels aren't they? You made some really nice choices, you shoulda won for that alone ;)
ReplyDeleteYour wish list is nearly 100% the same as mine :D
ReplyDeleteGutted no one we knew won! Also, that's £1000 worth of stuff?! Scary! It doesnt look that much! x
Lovely items! xx
ReplyDeletehahahhaa £1000 wouldn't be enough for me!
ReplyDeleteHehe, I used to love the Argos catalogue as well.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was an amazing competition. I love the shoes you picked out!
I refuse to go to the ASOS website for a while now as I always tend to spend loads there.
Whoever did win must be having a ridiculously good day right now!
ReplyDeleteI totally read the argos catalogue as a child too, it was the best bedtime story ever!
I fell in to that very same ASOS trap! I feel like I really need that denim dress. And each of those bags...
ReplyDeleteYou have chosen a great list!!! I would be wonderful to win!!

Soo jealous of the person that won! My choices were mainly bags too x
ReplyDeleteOooo I got a dress very like that denim dress from (shame) Matalan the other day — I'm going to sew it a bit to give it more shape!
ReplyDeleteWish I'd heard about this competition. SO jealous of the person that won :-(
