Last year, I drove Mum to Matalan for a wander and ended up being like 'Try this on! Try this!' and she ended up spending, um, a lot of money. Ooops. But it was fun! I got to shop and she got new clothes! Win/Win, right? Anyway, I enjoyed that whole personal shopping lark and decided to cook up a plan to do it again, along with Matalan Basically, my Mum hates clothes shopping - I know, it's mad to me too - and I asked Matalan if they'd help me convert her into a nice, normal, broke shopaholic like her daughter. And they said yes!
So, armed with a £60 Matalan gift voucher, I did a little series of blog posts for them about dressing Mum. Here's the first, here's the second, and here are the results of the third - because the whole project culminated in a little photoshoot in the garden. Remember the garden? Home of all my outfit posts for a good year or so! Well, it's not my garden any more, but it's still Mum's, and it seemed fitting. It was a bit hilarious directing her - 'Hand on hip! Look wistful!' - but by the end I swear she was doing all my usual faces and poses.
Also, doesn't she look lovely?
