I knew you when our common goal was waiting for the world to end.

I feel like I have claimed half the dresses featured so far as my favourites, but really, I think I confuse 'old faithfuls' with favourites. This dress, though - this is a favourite. One of those dresses I ALWAYS feel nice in. No matter how much weight I gain or lose, it always seems to fit like a glove, and it's super flattering with its little tight waist, puffy shoulders and full skirt. And... it's... PRIMARK. I KNOW.

Despite my mad love for this dress, I go in phases with it - I'll wear it to DEATH and then will forget about it. And then I remember it again, and wear it to death, AGAIN. It's actually about two years old, but I've found that when I wear it lately, it gets so many compliments. I've even wheeled it out to speed-dating - people seem to remember the girl in the red dress!

But anyway, people are always shocked when they find out this is from - the print really isn't very Primark-like. It reminds me a little of that Barbara Hulanicki dress that I've seen both Lily and Carrie in, and this poppy-print dress from Dorothy Perkins is a tad similar (although I'm coveting THIS poppy print one at the mo, although the first one is in the sale!).

Dress - Primark
Tights & Boots - New Look
Necklace - Topshop
Nails - OPI Catch Me In Your Net

I wore this on Saturday to the Witch event, along with my new wedge booties from New Look. So comfortable, although my feet were dyyying by the end of the day. They're still recovering, I swear. My hair didn't stay straight for long though, damn you rain!

Have a good weekend everyone - I'm off out dancing tomorrow, and I'm ever so exciting. It's been far too long!

  18. What a nice frock! Love the sleeves and shoulder detail.

ps - avoid that DP poppy dress - it may look lovely but the fabric is so thin and nasty and will crumple and look crap after about 10 minutes :(
