So, when I got an email from Bertie Shoes asking if I wanted to come and have a sneaky peek at their Spring/Summer collection – AND CAKE – I was there like a shot.
The new collection is full of muted colours - lots of browns and dark reds, although I adore the stripy, nautical shoes in my pictures above! There were a pair of cranberry wedges in particular though that were so popular, I think they completely sold out on the night! I’m having buyer’s remorse, even though I know that ankle straps don’t do anything for my legs. They’re just so lovely.
Bertie very kindly let us all have a pair of shoes to take away. I spent ages making up my mind – total sensory overload – but kept going back to these gorgeous brown peep-toes. Even though they’re ridiculously high, they are surprisingly comfortable – probably because the sole is so structured and the leather so soft. Sigh. They’re looovely. Although I have scolded myself since that I should have got a more sensible pair, like Sally’s gorgeous black loafers.

The evening was a great opportunity to hang out with some of my favourite blogging ladies, the awesome Ellie, Amy, Harriet and Jazmine (who I FINALLY got the chance to meet after what seems like forever!). It was also lovely to meet Sally and Ross, whose blog I only discovered recently, but I LOVE. I also met the lovely Lara, and bonded with Barbie Fashionista on the tube. (‘You have a Bertie bag! So do I!’)
Thank you so much Bertie for a lovely evening – I adore my new shoes and can’t wait to totter around in them all summer.
Coming soon to an outfit post near you!

ReplyDeleteI love the look of those pale grey brogues and the elusive cranberry wedges! My feet are useless in shoes (I think I never did that suffering as a teenager thing and now I'm too sensible to deal with the pain) but they are still so pretty... xx

ReplyDeleteI would have loved an invite, the wedges look great, but very high. And fondant fancies? Yum!!
